What is the Post-Apocalyptic Freeway Bridge Battle Map?

Originally created in 2017 for the role-playing game Vermin 2047, which features giant ravenous insects, this battle map has been remastered for 2022. Vermin 2047 is a French RPG currently being crowdfunded (available internationally by the end of 2022). Now, you can enjoy the updated version of this post-apocalyptic bridge battle map.

At first glance, the map may appear expansive. However, players and GMs will quickly notice that only one path seems navigable: the post-apocalyptic suspension bridge. The surrounding thick and perilous vegetation discourages any detours. The locked vehicles scattered about will tempt players, but they may hold unpleasant surprises.

A key feature of this dangerous battle map is a large hole in the bridge where a truck and its trailer teeter precariously. Will you risk crossing over it or attempt to go around, potentially encountering whatever lurks inside? This map offers numerous possibilities, limited only by your imagination (or your cruelty?).

The abundance of vehicles obscures visibility; crossing without caution might not be wise. The trailers and trunks of these vehicles are mostly locked. Do they contain food, weapons, or terrifying predators?

The bridge has not been maintained for a long time and appears fragile. Will it hold up long enough for a safe crossing? Time is ticking...

Paw prints suggest predators are nearby. If your players haven't seen or heard them yet, they've likely noticed the tracks.
