Description
The Catacombs Map Tiles package provides Game Masters with a range of art assets for creating fantasy roleplaying adventure maps. Use the package as a stand-alone set of assets to create dungeons, ancient crypts, and monster lairs. Or combine this collection of art assets with other packs from Studio WyldFurr’s range of Map Tiles, for an unlimited world-building toolkit.
What is a Map Tile?
Map tiles are building blocks that each depicts a 5ft square of terrain, with each map tile consisting of photographic material and hand-drawn artwork.
The map tiles include sections of floor, upon which wall overlays can be placed to create village buildings, dungeon structures, and so much more.
Map Tile Scale
Our range of map tile art assets is founded on a 3:1 map scale, consisting of a depicting of terrain rendered to a resolution of three screen pixels to each real-world inch.
Using this scale, each 5ft map grid square conforms to a grid square of 180-pixels in size.
How to create a map in Fantasy Grounds with Map Tiles?
To build your own adventure map, start by creating a blank image in the Images Panel. This blank image will be our map canvas, on which we will build the adventure map. Open the blank image and in the image control panel, change the map grid from the default 50-pixel grid to a 180-pixel grid. All Studio WyldFurr maps and tokens use a 180-pixel square map grid.
Now that the grid is set, open the Assets panel and search for the Map Tiles package you want to use. Open it to browse the package's collection of art assets. Drag-n-drop tiles from the assets panel onto the map canvas. Keep drag-n-dropping tiles to build up the structure of your adventure map.
