🧩 Three Main Effect Types

SHIFT:
Used for full transformation-style effects.

ALT:
Used for temporary stat overrides that are not tied to a full form.

IMG:
Used to swap the token to a different image while the effect is active.

All tags must be typed in uppercase.

STR = Strength, DEX = Dexterity, CON = Constitution, INT = Intelligence, WIS = Wisdom, CHA = Charisma, AC = Armor Class, SPD = Speed, SIZE = Size Adjustment, TEMPHP = Temporary Hit Points, IMG = Token Swap

🎯 How It Works

When a character receives a supported effect, Mantle reads the effect text, applies the listed changes, stores the original values, and updates the character automatically.

Example full transformation:

SHIFT: STR 20, DEX 14, CON 16, AC 15, SPD 40, SIZE 1, TEMPHP 30

Example temporary override:

ALT: STR 23

Example token swap:

IMG: wolf

Example combined form change and token swap:

SHIFT: STR 12, DEX 15, CON 12, AC 13, SPD 40, SIZE 0, TEMPHP 11
IMG: wolf

When the effect ends, the original values return automatically.

If a SHIFT form uses TEMPHP, the transformation can be tied to those temporary hit points, allowing the form to end when those temporary hit points are gone.

If an IMG: effect is applied, Mantle swaps the token while the effect is active, then restores the original token automatically when the effect ends.

Works with Beast Combat Actions:

Mantle of Transcendence also works alongside Beast Combat Actions, making it easy to pair automated stat changes and token swapping with ready-to-use beast attack actions. This gives you a smoother transformation setup for Wild Shape style play, polymorph effects, and other creature-based forms inside Fantasy Grounds Unity.

• Open the character sheet
• Go to the Actions tab or the area where you manage effects
• Create or apply an effect using SHIFT:, ALT:, or IMG:
• Enter the values or token name you want to use
• Apply the effect to the character
• Mantle updates the supported values and token automatically
• When the effect ends, the original values and token return

Effect Modifiers

⚙️ How To Use

WOB: Mantle of Transcendence lets you apply temporary character modifiers through Combat Tracker effects without permanently changing the base character sheet.

Add the effect to the character in the Combat Tracker and use Mantle effect tags in the effect line. Multiple modifiers can be placed on the same line by separating them with semicolons.

Example:
MODAC: 1; MODSAVE: 1; MODSTR: 5; MODNATURE: 5

Positive and negative values are both supported.

Examples:
MODSAVE: 10
MODCHK: 10
MODSKILL: 10
MODSTR: -2
MODAC: 2; MODSPD: 10
MODSAVEDEX: 5; MODCHK: 2; MODSTEALTH: 4

Use MOD plus the skill name with spaces removed and punctuation stripped.

🔗 Stacking Behavior

Grouped and specific modifiers can work together on the same effect line.

Example:
MODSAVE: 1; MODSAVEDEX: 2

Result:

  • all saves gain +1
  • Dexterity saves gain an additional +2

Example:
MODCHK: 2; MODSKILL: 3; MODSTEALTH: 5

Result:

  • all ability checks gain +2
  • all skill checks gain +3
  • Stealth gains an additional +5

⚠️ Negative Modifiers

Negative values work the same as positive values.

Examples:
MODSAVE: -2
MODCHK: -5
MODSKILL: -3
MODSTR: -4

Compatibility Notice:
We cannot guarantee this extension will play nice with every other extension. We test against a number of popular extensions, but conflicts can still happen. If you run into issues, try disabling other extensions to identify the conflict.

FixED:

There was an issue where, if the Mantle effect was not manually removed before a character was removed from the Combat Tracker, or if Fantasy Grounds crashed, the character’s original data could be lost and only the SHIFT-transformed data would remain. This has now been fixed by creating a backup of the character’s original values and storing that backup directly on the character sheet through code.
