Moosefolk

Moosefolk is a monster supplement for 5e that presents moosefolk as solitary territorial giants of the northern forests and wetlands. Rather than organized tribal societies, moosefolk exist as powerful individuals whose presence dominates entire stretches of wilderness. Their immense frames, towering antlers, and explosive aggression make them some of the most dangerous humanoids a traveler can encounter in dense woodland.

The intent of this product is encounter identity through physical dominance and momentum-based combat. Moosefolk do not rely on complicated tactics, magic, or ranged warfare. Instead, they control the battlefield through devastating charges, trampling hooves, and the sheer force of their size. Their attacks knock enemies prone, scatter formations, and punish those who fail to respect their territory.

These creatures work best as environmental guardians and wilderness hazards. A single moosefolk can control a valley crossing, river ford, or forest clearing, forcing adventurers to carefully consider movement and positioning. Their power escalates naturally through the ladder, culminating in the Forest Sovereign — a massive territorial ruler capable of smashing entire battle lines apart.

Moosefolk encounters emphasize raw strength, sudden violence, and territorial dominance. They are not villains by nature, but they are unforgiving defenders of their domain. Travelers who wander too far into the deep forest may discover that the wilderness already has its rulers.
