Ninja

Ninja is a monster supplement for 5e that presents ninjas as disciplined infiltration specialists rather than mysterious supernatural assassins. These operatives rely on stealth, precision, preparation, and mobility rather than brute strength or magical spectacle. Each stat block represents a trained role within a clandestine organization dedicated to espionage, sabotage, and targeted elimination.

The intent of this product is mechanical clarity and encounter variety without unnecessary complexity. Each ninja fills a distinct battlefield function: scouts, ambushers, assassins, elite duelists, and legendary killers who strike from darkness and vanish before retaliation is possible. Encounters emphasize positioning, surprise, and coordinated strikes rather than direct confrontation.

Cultural lore, allegiance, and the goals of the hidden clans are intentionally minimal. These ninjas may serve a secret empire, operate as mercenary guilds, protect ancient traditions, or pursue personal vendettas. Whether they are villains, rivals, or uneasy allies is left to the GM. Use these stat blocks as tools. The purpose of the shadows is yours to decide.

Ninja Roster

Ninja Agent (CR 1): Basic infiltrator used for reconnaissance, courier missions, and simple eliminations.  

Ninja Shadow (CR 2): Silent rooftop hunter specializing in rapid melee strikes and relentless nunchaku flurries.  

Ninja Assassin (CR 4): Professional killer trained in poison and precise elimination of high-value targets.  

Ninja Nightblade (CR 6): Elite infiltrator capable of engaging multiple enemies while constantly repositioning across walls and rooftops.  

Ninja Ghostmaster (CR 8): Veteran ninja tactician who manipulates the battlefield using smoke, chain weapons, and perfect mobility.  

Ninja Master Assassin (CR 10): Legendary killer whose mastery of stealth, blades, and martial weapons allows them to eliminate targets with terrifying speed.
