Starryfield began as a market town, and the old market grounds (now expended significantly) lie at the center of the city. Trade is the heart blood of this city, farmer bring their wares in from the patchwork farmland beyond, merchant caravans trundle along the Three Roads, and barges float down the river. Enter Starryfield to hear the constant cry of the barkers and vendors, the rattle fast haggling of the local merchant class, and the cries of peddlers and bulk dealers alike.

Like all of Alyssa Faden’s maps, Silgas provides enough visual hooks that no game session using them could hope to be dull. The details here are not limited to the city, for looking up in one corner there is a small settlement of some kind. What could this group of buildings with a prominent road leading to it be? Perhaps a camp ground for a regular merchant caravan, a small outlying enclave of elves or halflings, maybe even a temple to a nature deity growing jealous of the might of a city so close to its fane?
